MMBA is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with The American Accounting Association’s Strategic and Emerging Technologies in Accounting Section (SET). MM Blockchain Academy (MMBA) is an educational technology affiliate of Masotti & Masotti, a certified public accounting firm founded in 1960 with an extensive list of clients in the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency space.

The mission of the SET section within the AAA is to promote the global creation and communication of knowledge about strategic and emerging technologies in accounting, auditing, and taxation. Margarita Lenk, President of the SET section said,

 “The SET section leads at the cutting edge of technology innovation in the accounting ecosystem, and our new partnership with MMBA aligns with our section’s mission and where the profession is heading.”

According to John Masotti CPA, CMA, Managing Partner of Masotti & Masotti, LLC, 

“Since 2016, we recognized that Blockchain and Digital Assets were going to radically transform the Accounting and Finance professions. As a result, we partnered with leading global companies to create self-paced, asynchronous courses, including an accredited blockchain accounting certification, the Certified Blockchain Accounting Professional (CBAP) TM, to help train working professionals and also students studying Accounting and Finance. We feel strongly that the accounting industry and schools need to work relentlessly to close this knowledge gap so that accountants are well-versed in blockchain, and students can graduate with at least a general understanding of this technology.”

Under the partnership agreement, MMBA and the SET Section will work collaboratively on initiatives and programming that will explore and expand knowledge and understanding of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology. Lenk stated, 

“MMBA’s leadership in both raising awareness about blockchain's impact in the accounting industry and also designing innovative blockchain courses and certifications for students and working professionals. This made them a natural and win-win partnership for the Strategic and Emerging Technology section of the AAA.”

MMBA is looking forward to working with these distinguished accountants and academics to promote blockchain and cryptocurrency awareness, education and certification to students and working professionals.
