About MM Blockchain Academy

We are an education company that is passionate about bridging the knowledge gap in Blockchain Accounting and Finance, by preparing students, accountants and finance professionals for the Web3 workplace.

Our Story

MM Blockchain Academy (MMBA) was founded with the mission to promote blockchain, crypto and digital asset awareness in the Accounting and Finance industries. We recognized that there was a massive education gap: higher education institutions and the accounting industry needed to educate students, employees ,and staff about blockchain technology So we designed MMBA to bridge that knowledge gap by educating, training and certifying accounting and finance students and professionals.

Today, MMBA offers industry-recognized certifications and online courses in Blockchain and Digital Assets. In the last two years, nearly 600 students and professionals have spent over 5,000 hours, learning and earning accreditations to help them succeed in a financial system that will increasingly be built on Web3.

John W. Masotti

Co-Founder

John W. Masotti is a Co-Founder of MM Blockchain Academy, and the Managing Partner of Masotti & Masotti, LLC, a multi-generational CPA firm founded in 1960.

He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in both the states of Connecticut and New York. He is also a Certified Managerial Accountant, Certified Bitcoin Professional – Expired (Cryptocurrency Certification Consortium), and a Certified Blockchain Expert (Blockchain Council).

Larry Liermann

Co-Founder

Larry Liermann is Co-Founder and Head of Sales & Partnerships at MM Blockchain Academy, leading business development and partnerships with Higher Education Institutes, Enterprise Clients and CPA Associations.

He began working on Foreign Exchange and Fixed Sales & Trading desks of various Investment Banks including Barclays, Credit Suisse, and Deutsche Bank, where he covered North American and Latin American corporate and institutional clients.

Sean Larkin

Director

Sean is a Director at MM Blockchain Academy, LLC and the Founder of LBC, an outsourced CFO Firm based in Fairfield County, CT specializing in Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies.

He is a Member of the Blockchain Council and has received Certifications as Certified Blockchain Expert and Certified Hyperledger Developer. He is also a Certified Bitcoin Professional, which is a certification offered by the Cryptocurrency Certification Consortium.
